The following five finger foods though work for almost any kind of party. Made with basic ingredients they are popular, tasty and almost all caterers would have them on their menu.
• Cheese Platter
Unless your guests are lactose intolerant, a cheese platter works great for any kind of party, especially if you are serving wine. For a cocktail catering, get your caterer to do a platter that has not only different kinds of cheese but also olives, grapes, crackers and nuts so that all the guests have something to munch on.
• Mini Quiches and Tartlets
Easy to serve and versatile too, quiches and tarts can be filled with anything from creamed corn to minced meat. In fact if you are having a Christmas catering done, you can even have your caterers do a roasted turkey quiche. Tarts in fact need not be savoury. If it’s a tea party, then you can even do lemon tartlets or chocolate ones.
• Bruschetta
You need not stick to traditional bruschetta with tomato. You can do little crostini or pesto bruschetta for a twist. They are filling, non-greasy and easy to pick and bite into.
• Sausage Rolls
There’s nobody who does not like a good sausage roll. These are also filling and thus great if you are not serving dinner. Get them in mini sizes so that they look good while serving and are easy to eat.
